How we seamlessly snuck books into GenZ’s entertainment consumption routines.

We were tasked with helping the digital native generation Z fall in love with reading again. We reflected on how most of the content that is consumed by this generation is based on algorithms and recommendations. Could Penguin Publishing tap into this space? We proposed a collaboration with video in demand streaming site, Amazon Prime Video. We delved into Prime Video’s viewer history’s and produced suggestions for Penguin Publishing books that viewers could then buy directly from the Amazon store without leaving the app. We seamlessly incorporated reading material alongside video material to bring books back into the conversation.
